A new addition to the family

Most recently a king cobra was officially added to Reptilia during the Annual Members Even on December 14th 2008. Its length of 13 feet and 1 inch was documented by the National Post. The new addition makes Reptilia the home of the largest crocodile and the largest venomous snake in Canada.

Some exciting news

It was just one year ago, when Reptilia was searching for domestically bred green mambas but the searched came out empty. With other zoos also looking for captive green mambas, Reptilia decided to purchase a pair of wild caught specimens with hopes that they would breed. On August 7th, for the first time in Canada, green mambas were hatched successfully. Lee Parker was the one who discovered the newly hatched Green Mambas that morning and by the end of the day, all but two of the eggs were hatched. See this rare and beautiful animal when you visit with your Toronto Airport Car Rental.

Under the Reptilia’s Curriculum Compliant Education Programs, students all over the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are instructed and able to actively take part in an interactive session that is connected to the science and technology curriculum.
