Toronto car rentals and Black Creek Pioneer Village
Imagine a time before Facebook, the Internet and even electricity. A time when moving water was the engine that powered rural Canada, and social networking happened around the kitchen table. Replace Toronto’s urban streets with farmland and forests. Having trouble picturing this dramatically different landscape? Then hop in your TransCanada Toronto Car Rentals vehicle and head to Black Creek Pioneer Village. While museum describe the past, Black Creek Pioneer Village brings it to life, providing travelers in Toronto car rentals with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Whether you’re a history buff or a true-blue city slicker, you’re bound to learn something new at the Black Creek Pioneer Village.
What you’ll find in the Village
Travelers in Toronto car rentals will discover a whole new way of life inside Black Creek Pioneer Village. Where else can you immerse yourself in the lifestyles, customs, and surroundings of Toronto’s earliest residents? The Village, which spans more than 30 acres of picturesque country landscape, features a number of historic buildings, as well as artifacts, memorabilia, and working period farm equipment. Inside the buildings and throughout the surrounding gardens and farmland, you’ll meet historical interpreters and trades people demonstrating and explain the 19th century way of life. Travelers in Toronto car rentals will have a chance to participate in age old activities, immersing themselves in true Toronto history.
Things to keep in mind when visiting Black Creek
- Wear comfortable footwear. Even though you’re still in the city, you’ll be visiting an authentic 19th century country village. There are no paved roads or modern sidewalks. And there are definitely no taxis!
- Be curious. Travelers in Toronto car rentals are encouraged to explore inside the Village’s many buildings. You can also ask the interpreters as many questions as you please. Black Creek is supposed to be an educational experience, so don’t be afraid to learn!
- Make sure you give yourself plenty of time. Black Creek is much larger than your average museum. TransCanada Toronto Car Rentals recommends spending the entire day at the Village.
- Watch for special demonstrations and events. There’s always something new to see at the Black Creek Pioneer Village. Remember to ask for the day’s details at the admission desk when you arrive.
Shop in stores like you’ve never seen before
