More than 26.8 million fans have attended close to 2000 events at the ACC already, so why haven’t you been to the arena yet? Car rental Toronto airport travelers are encouraged to visit this state-of-the-art facility for all of their T.O. entertainment needs.
A quick look at the arena’s history
The Air Canada Center is built on the site of the old Canada Post Delivery Building right in the heart of downtown Toronto. The arena still retains the east and south walls of the original structure, keeping with the storied architecture of Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard. The construction of the building was motivated by the Raptors NBA expansion bid back in 1993. 40 Bay Street became a live construction site in 1997 and the first hockey game was held on February 20th, 1999. The Leafs played the Montreal Canadiens, beating them in a 3-2 overtime victory.
Say goodbye to subpar arena cuisine
The Air Canada Centre proudly houses one of the finest food and beverage departments of any arena in North America. Car rental Toronto airport travelers will find three magnificent fine dining restaurants inside the arena, including the Platinum Club, the Air Canada Club and the Hot Stove Club. Catering is provided by the illustrious Platinum Catering Company, while concessions include everything from submarine sandwiches and pizza to sushi and Greek gyros. For coffee lovers, there’s a Tim Hortons counter at the Union Market Food Court and in Sections 111, 303, and 305.

Direction to the ACC

Keep left and stay straight onto Lakeshore Boulevard. Turn right onto Bay Street and the arena will be right there. If you’re coming directly from Pearson in your car rental Toronto airport vehicle, follow Airport Road to Highway 417 South to the Gardiner Expressway East.
